Sciatica

This otherwise healthy and fit man came to the clinic with lower back pain starting in the buttocks extending to his heel with shooting pain in his right leg.

Sciatica is  the scourge of traditional medicine and often treated only by means of painkillers treating the consequence but rarely the cause.  The gentleman also reported that he got pins and needles in his heel and muscle spasms leading to his life being blighted by his condition.

In his case the sciatic nerve had been compressed and acupuncture and acupressure assisted in the release of the sciatic pain and the relaxation of the muscle.

Four weeks from the commencement of treatment the paid was reduced significantly and after 10 weeks he reported that the pain had ceased entirely.
